- Kyoto, Japan: Kyoto completely stole our hearts. From quiet temple mornings to walking under rows of orange torii gates, it felt like we were stepping into something timeless. The bamboo forest in Arashiyama was one of those places that makes you stop and just breathe it all in. We even dressed up in kimonos for a day—an unforgettable way to connect with the city’s rich culture and feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
